Part 1 – Outdoor Adventures
There’s fun on every Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge street and plenty outdoor mountain adventures. You may already know that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is the foothills and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

There are all kinds of outdoor activities, and you’re close to them all Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Looking for a awesome, unique view of the Smokies, then Zipline Tours is a MUST for a phenomenal outdoor experience! Just imagine zipping 2 miles through the Smoky Mountains, experiencing flight at its most exciting. An outdoor adventure you won’t soon forget! Horseback riding is very popular with people who love the outdoors. And speaking of the outdoors, you’ll want the great outdoor adventure of white water rafting during May thru August. For a lazier, slower outdoor adventure with water, you may want to try tubing during May thru August.
Mountain coasters have joined the outdoor attractions in the area with some coasters featuring plenty of tunnels, curves, and 360 degree turns.
Ober Gatlinburg is a year-round activities center with skiing in winter. And don’t worry, if there isn’t enough snow, they make their own. In the summer months there is the Alpine Slide, mini golf, and wildlife encounters. The mall has plenty of shopping and dining.
For you golfers, we have you covered. There are two golf courses in the area with the Gatlinburg Golf Course and the Sevierville Golf course.
Let’s not forget to mention the outdoor activities in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hiking trails are rated easy to difficult throughout the park. You’ll enjoy some of the most beautiful scenes every season of the year. Take your camera to keep your memories fresh.
